1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

TC2 project Norway! Wow!

UPDATE:  7pm 9/12/2014.  The owner has contacted us!   He apparently saw the post either here or in Facebook, and has made contact!   Welcome Kristian H!  He has also provided the Baur plate number!  This number is NOT listed in the International Baur Registry, so it qualifies as a NEW FIND!  Thank you, Kristian!  ;)

Thanks to Stein Susrud for sending me the link to this E30 TC2 Baur project!  Thank you, Stein!  Kudos to Hakonsenjr for taking on this Baur to save and restore it!  The link to the project is below.  These pics and commentary are from Stanceworks.

Here is how hakonsenjr introduces his project:

Hakonsenjr's BMW e30 320i BAUR

Hello!

So, for those who knows; The E30 BAUR is not a car you see very often in Norway, and If you do - It's pobably imported or fake. But I recently got my hands on a Original E30 320i BAUR. The car was just standing beside a guys garage, rustin away and he wanted to send it to a "CarGraveYard" and we could not let that happen' to such a rear car!
So yesturday, I drove out to the owner and picked up the car for nothing more than a guitar.. and some fuel - But as you can see when you scroll down to the pictures, the car is in some serious need of some..ALOT of serious work.

To put it this way, this is not a project that's going to be rushed, I'm going to take my time to do all the work proplery and make the best i can out of this car! So there will not be that typical Thread where you see the car finished in one post. Be patient, and at the end; You'll se!

Here we go, this is all you could see when you walk in there..

Note the Jaguar at the right!

 New parts arrive!  Woo hoo!

The project appears to be coming along nicely.  We look forward to seeing some updates!

Thank you, Stein!
