1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

1602 Convertible Body by Baur For Sale in Germany

Thanks to Tomas B.D. for posting this in Facebook recently.

Looking for a project?  Here is a chance to own a Voll Cabrio by Baur!  It appears to be just the shell, and all you will have to do is ...... fill in the blanks!  :)

The following was posted with the pics (translation by Google Translate).
"Doors and trunk lid are attending.  The cost is € 1000.  Car is now in Cologne , Germany.  20 years in dry storage."

I am not sure why is meant by "attending", but I don't see the doors and trunk lid in the pics.  They may be missing.   Part of the challenge will be to replace the doors, if they are indeed missing.  I think the doors may be unique to the Voll Cabrio, because the rake of the windshield is different from the coupes.  If you compare the vent windows on the Voll Cabrios vs the Coupes, you can clearly see that they are different.

Anyway, who is up for the challenge?  Any takers?  :)
