1982 BMW 323i Baur

1982 BMW 323i Baur
Memorial Day 2010 First Drive 1982 323i BMW Baur Lapisblau M20 5 speed #4154 of 4595 made. The car was imported to California by Dietel Enterprises. I have since changed the wheels, installed the clear turn signal lenses, and I am in the process of installing a new cabriolet roof. I have to do something about those bumpers, too. :) I love this car! To see one of the reasons why, check my post "Score One For the Good Guys" on 6/26/2011.

1969 BMW 1602 Homemade Convertible Project in Australia

Thanks to our friend and fellow Baur owner Craig Saxon for the link to this 1602 DIY Convertible project that is for sale on Gumtree in Australia!

N.B.   Notice the angle of the windshield, as well as the absence of the vent window.  This is a DIY chop top convertible, not a Baur.   The Baur has fixed vent windows, and the windshield/vent window form a sharp angle, without the slight curve that you see in this car.

This BMW 1602 has had over 10,000 dollars spent on it to prepare for a rebuild.

It comes as is, a rolling shell, or with many parts that can be purchased seperately.

There is just about everything available to complete this project, with many parts being

new or close to it.

Thank you for the 'heads up', Craig!

Plus.... there was another Baur listed for sale at the bottom of the page on Gumtree!  Stay tuned, I will post that up also when I get a chance later today.
