Baur-Style Ford Mustang Landaulet? What???

Thanks to Dave Alzayer for sending me this interesting little mystery tidbit.  He asked me today if Baur ever did a Mustang. Hmmm.  He said he found an unusual Mustang, and wondered if it could have been done by Baur.

As you can imagine, that piqued my interest immediately.  Here is the pic he sent me of a Mustang that is apparently located in Portugal.  You can see that it has fixed windows, and appears to have a two part roof, a la Baur, with what appears to be a 'targa', and a rear section removed.  Dave had
posted and wrote about it on a Ford page*.   You can read his article at the link below.

We can see here that the 'targa' section is actually a two piece T-Top style.  BTW, the term "T-Top' is also a response to the Porsche copyright on the word 'targa'.  Incidentally, 'targa' is the Italian word for 'plate'.  

The Mustang has these unusual big-backed bucket seats.

You can see the two 'targa' panels here.  Dave notes the 'Landaulet' style of the rear open top, often used in parades by dignitaries, etc.  He also posted this Baur depiction of the "Four Cars In One" Baur advertisement from back in the day, which we had posted here in Baurspotting.  :)  It shows the landaulet style roof configuration available on the Baur Top Cabriolets and Cabrio Targas.  

So, for now, this is a Mystery car.  We would love to learn more about it, if anyone has any information.  Any and all information is most welcome!
